About Michael Hyde

I am a Chartered Town Planner with over 20 years experience of development planning, development management and enforcement. I have worked in Scotland and England and my previous employers have included 2 National Park Authorities, a District Council and the private sector.

Other relevant experience on which I can draw includes structural and civil engineering, nature and historic buildings conservation, surveying and architecture. I strive to seek solutions, to build consensus wherever possible and to explain and justify decisions. I am computer literate and use Microsoft Word, Excel and Access, UNIform and other proprietary software packages.

I established mh planning as an independent planning consultancy in 2008 and am based in Helensburgh, Scotland. My aim is to provide experienced and understandable access to planning advice and training.
